Downtown Harley-Davidson in Renton and Special Olympics Washington are hosting a pre-registration party and barbecue Saturday to support the NW Ride of Dreams and Classic Car Show Aug. 28 Ellensburg.
The event will run noon-3 p.m. at Downtown Harley-Davidson, 3715 East Valley Road, where Special Olympics Washington and members of the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) Campaign will register riders for the NW Ride of Dreams and Classic Car Show.
Downtown Harley Davidson in Renton is one of the five primary starting points for the NW Ride of Dreams and Classic Car Show, which is co-sponsored by LETR, an organization of law enforcement agencies across Washington that has raised more than $500,000 for Special Olympics Washington programs.
The goal is to draw 4,000 bikers and raise $75,000. Registration fee is $30 per bike or classic car. All proceeds benefit Special Olympics Washington.
Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) will host a bike wash in exchange for donations to support their cause.
Special Olympics Washington serves more than 8,000 athletes by providing year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
